Holly has an eye-watering wealth of experience and a successful track record of achieving great results for a wide variety of clients in a range of different industry sectors. Her experience covers everything from consumer awareness and engagement campaigns, to creating and delivering b2b strategic marketing plans, to devising social media strategies that directly contribute towards business objectives and the generation of sales leads.
Holly is highly experienced in handling PR and communications around high profile events such as London 2012 and Glasgow 2014 using a range of PR tactics to build interest and excitement amongst target audiences – consumers, athletes, volunteers and sponsors – to drive ticket sales and gain stakeholder support in an often challenging environment.
She combines strategic thinking with excellent leadership and management skills and has the ability to apply her knowledge of delivering large scale PR and communications campaigns to businesses of all shapes and sizes – helping them establish a presence in the Scottish, regional, national and international media, and use PR to drive their businesses forward.
Holly’s career began working in central government; supporting the press offices of the Department of Health and Ministry of Defence. After a successful period managing regional media from the 10 Downing Street press office on behalf of Gordon Brown and Tony Blair, she joined the media team for London 2012 where she was responsible for delivering communications to support construction and transport. When an opportunity came to move to Scotland and work for Glasgow 2014 Holly couldn’t resist the challenge of managing the communications output for Scotland’s largest ever multi sport event. Most recently she has combined working for a range of clients across the UK with acting as an in-house PR Manager for a number of different organisations.

Our small team packs a powerful punch and blends a variety of different experience and backgrounds with the goal of delivering excellent PR for our clients. The team offers the best of in-house and agency PR experience covering a vast array of different industry sectors all the way from consumer goods, drinks, leisure, energy, retail, sport, technology and tourism to central government, defence and healthcare. This breadth of experience means we are able to forge close working relationships with a diverse set of organisations in both the private and public sector as we understand the different challenges they face and the different audiences they need to persuade and influence.
Ann Bryant joined garlandpr in August 2014, bringing with her over 20 years consumer PR agency experience gained working in London and Edinburgh. An innovative and creative thinker over the course of her career, she has worked on behalf of some of the UK’s biggest brands including The Rank Group, Mecca (Bingo), Threshers, Asda and Lloydspharmacy. With significant sector experience covering healthcare, retail, leisure, personal finance, charity and food and drinks PR, she can deliver everything from UK-wide and Scotland-wide brand and consumer awareness campaigns to local charity support at a grassroots level.

Gordon Johnstone joined garlandpr in September 2016 to lead our digital and social offering. Gordon’s previous role was Marketing Assistant for Young Scot where he had a varied role, leading on projects such as the creation of a new website and managing Young Scot’s social media output and engagement. Prior to this, Gordon secured and organised meetings with prominent politicians in the White House and US Senate while working on potential gun control legislation at 6th Degree. Gordon is also experienced at graphic design including the creation of video content and animations and, as such, has extensive software skills. Gordon is passionate about digital and social media.
