Dobbies designed, built and planted two urban ‘parklets’ to create peaceful, colourful, scent-filled oases in the heart of Scotland’s capital city. One is themed to reflect George Street’s high fashion offering ‘Colours’ and the other to emphasise its outstanding food and drink ‘Cocktails’. It’s an exciting experiment to show what can be done in a busy city centre street, and fits in with Edinburgh’s ongoing trial to look at various ways in which George Street can be an even more attractive and enticing place for residents and visitors to the city. Working closely with Edinburgh City Council and Essential Edinburgh garlandpr, on behalf of Dobbies, secured extensive coverage of the initiative including the front page of the Edinburgh Evening News, the Scotsman and STV.
Ann Bryant has joined garlandpr as an Account Director bringing with her over 20 years consumer PR agency experience gained working in London and Edinburgh. A former Associate Director at Havas PR and Starfish Communications over the course of her career she has worked on behalf of some of the UK’s biggest brands including The Rank Group, Mecca (Bingo), Threshers, Asda and Lloydspharmacy. An innovative and creative thinker her significant sector experience covers healthcare, retail, leisure, personal finance, charity and food and drinks PR. She has extensive experience in the delivery of UK and Scotland-wide brand and consumer awareness campaigns and will continue to work across our portfolio of clients as she has been freelancing with us since August 2014.
